Tourism: The Chinese press praises the Mauritian destination
From January to May 2010, there were more than twenty-one articles that exalt the Mauritian destination in the Chinese press. The quality of the Mauritian hotel industry and local wealth are highlighted in different reports.
The tourist Mauritius welcomes this visibility of the Mauritian destination in the Chinese press. Especially, as the various published articles praise of Mauritius.

The MTPA has something to celebrate, because China is an emerging market for tourism in Mauritius. In fact, this market is growing again, 0.9% for the first quarter of 2010, after suffering a fall in 2009, during the world economic crisis.
These articles were published in major Chinese titles including People's Daily Overseas Edition, Beijing Morning Post, Business Travel www.goodtrip.com CAAC Journal, MICE China and glossy magazines such as Cosmopolitan Bride and Life Style.
